Lopez Lomong
This was one of the first books I read a kid because he came to a school in Oregon near me to speak when I was maybe 12. I met him, took a photo, and got a signed copy. 13 years later I found the book and decided to reread.
The story and plot always stuck with me because, when I read it the first time, I was a similar age as Lopez throughout the book.
Inspiring book on his struggles. He mentions God far more than I remembered as a kid, but well written and one of the most inspirational stories I've ever read. Must read.
